Have you ever heard of ‘Raising your Vibration’? This phrase is buzzworthy nowadays. Some people are throwing it around without understanding its significance. So, what does vibration mean? There’s more than one meaning, but the ones that will be focused on in this article come from Mirriam Webster’s dictionary. Definition 4a and 4b respectively state, “a characteristic, emanation, aura or spirit that infuses or vitalizes someone or something and that can be instinctively experienced”, and “a distinctive, usually emotional atmosphere capable of being sensed”. So, what does THAT mean? In layman’s terms, these definitions are stating that our emotions can be sensed without being communicated. Emotions carry an energy. That energy is related to the aura of each individual person. Think about people you know with an electric personality. People are often attracted to that energy, feeling themselves drawn to the type of people that exude charisma, charm, and genuine kindness. Conversely, what about the awkward tension that can be felt if you walk into a room where a couple is having a heated and angry argument. The room feels heavy, right? Both scenarios are examples of vibration.
Try thinking about your ultimate goal being to feel good all the time; to feel good physically, mentally, and emotionally. In other words, you want to have a healthy body, mind, and spirit. When you achieve this balance, you’re vibrating high. When you feel good, you have positive thoughts. These thoughts cause happy emotions. The uplifted emotional state creates a positive outlook, which creates the foundation for good choices to be made. These good choices lead to desirable results which then make you feel good. And the cycle continues. Think lovely thoughts! That’s the answer. Sound simple? It IS! Really! Doesn’t the same thing happen currently for us in the negative? We can also be vibrating low. As a matter of fact, it’s more common for people to experience a low vibration than a high one. If we feel bad, we think negative thoughts. These negative thoughts turn to negative feelings (like anger, sadness, or fear). The feelings cause us to make fewer desirable choices which lead to less desirable results. Then, we focus on those results and that makes us feel bad and BOOM. Negative cycle. This is an extremely simplified way to explain that the way we treat our bodies, the thoughts we have and the way we feel are all factors is determining our vibration.
You may be asking, so we just want to feel good all the time? Yes! That’s what we’re saying. Why, you ask? Because the majority of the population is not living the life of their dreams. The majority of people are struggling financially, working a career they dislike, or both. We have the power to live any life we want to be living and the biggest way to accomplish that is to Raise the Vibration. The vibrational increase will increase the speed at which your energy vibrates which will literally make you seem magnetic. People and situations will be attracted to you because of your high vibes. There are, of course, undetermined actions that will need to be taken in order to get you closer to your goals. However, if only the mechanical steps are performed without acknowledging the importance of the vibration increase, the journey will be far longer, potentially even impossible. The same is true vise versa, but less so. Keep in mind, your dream could be anything. It could be a healthy physical body, a loving marriage, a career change, a pay increase, time freedom, financial support of extended family, simple life of nature, the nomadic travel existence, or whatever it looks like for you. Each and every sentient being has the ability and power to have, be, or do anything. The only thing stopping you is that you don’t believe you can have whatever you want. This has a lot to do with subconscious thoughts that run in the background, commonly unchecked. The cycle we get caught in, whether negative or positive, is typically initiated in the subconscious.
Before we unpack how to raise the vibes, a clarification needs to be made. This article is not suggesting that incoming emotions be ignored in response to perceived negative stimuli. Suppressing negative emotion when it arises can cause more serious issues such as anxiety, depression, and physical ailments. A better approach than suppression is allowing oneself to feel the emotion instead of rejecting it. Then, take a deep breath, and let the emotion go. When we allow ourselves to dwell on an emotion for any length of time, that’s when we get stuck in the cycle of negativity. Here are a few ways you can Raise Your Vibration to help strengthen your resilience against the inevitable circumstances that life is bound to throw at you.
Nourish your Body
Remember how we said that emotions carry an energy? All of our emotions end up getting stored in our bodies, which is a huge reason why physical exercise is so effective. Those who do not participate in some kind of physical activity are typically more prone to lethargy, lack of motivation, and low vibrational emotions. Many people utilize their exercise programs as a therapeutic release rather than just for the physical benefits. Because of the nature of a practice like yoga, it is considered one of the best physical activities that can be used to raise the vibration. The primary reason for this is that yoga is much more than just a physical exercise. The postures are specifically designed to help you go within so that you can release the mental and emotional energy that typically gets lodged in the hips, neck, shoulders, and the diaphragm (solar plexus). Even more important than the regular participation in exercise is the mindfulness practice regarding the food we put into our bodies. Just like your emotions, the food that you eat also carries a vibration with it. The foods that carry the highest vibrational frequency are fresh fruits, fresh vegetables or any food that is grown from the earth. Conversely, the food with the lowest vibration are frozen foods that are packed with preservatives or anything that is covered in pesticides or other chemicals during the growing process.
Get your Mind Right
We introduced the difference between a positive cycle and a negative cycle earlier in this article. What both cycles have in common is that the thoughts generate the emotions, the emotions lead to actions and those actions create our results. We tend to focus on our results which creates new thoughts that start the cycle all over again. This is why is it vital to read books and listen to audios in order to help develop your mind. Personal development or self-help is the category of literature you want to search for. We all have limiting beliefs and we all have a habit of allowing negative self-talk to play itself on repeat in our subconscious. Over 95% of the thoughts you have today are the same thoughts that you had yesterday, and the majority of these thoughts are so automatic, you are oblivious to their presence. In order to change that, you have to purposely rewire the way that your mind thinks. You want to introduce better, more positive information into your regular thoughts. Read and listen to things that empower and uplift you; books that motivate you and help you to break free from the negativity of the subconscious. Now, this next part is KEY. You cannot just read books to raise your mental awareness, thereby raising your mental vibration. Reading the books is great, but you absolutely MUST absorb the information you’re learning and begin applying the principles. Another great principle to help with your mindset is the development of a morning or a daily routine to teach yourself discipline and grow into the higher version of yourself.
Become a Spiritual Gangster
Like we talked about, emotions carry energy. Ultimately, it is the emotional state within that determines whether we find ourselves in “good or bad” spirits. If you only focus on the thought energy and the physical energy when it comes to raising your vibration, you’re not going to be able to sustain the high levels of energy that you’re trying to achieve. Most of us don’t learn how to process our emotions in a healthy way as children. As a result, some of our experiences never get dealt with. To help heal yourself from some of these experiences and uplift your emotions, causing a shift in your internal energy, here’s what you do. First and foremost, begin and sustain a daily gratitude practice. Everyday, think about and feel grateful for at least 10 things. Write the things down if you want to take it a step further. Also, to shed some of the negative emotions you might come across, try jotting down your emotions in a journal, allowing yourself to release those emotions and let them go. Learning and developing a meditation practice is also an extremely effective method for internally healing and letting go of the emotions that hold you back, thereby raising your spiritual vibration. Combine all three of these and you’ll be on cloud nine! Hop on over to Krystal Longmire Elevation Center to learn in depth practical applications that will help you raise the frequency of your internal energy.
